The launch of our new Xibo for ChromeOS player in February went brilliantly and we have been excited to see how our customers are making use of this secure, sustainable, and reliable digital signage solution.
This latest patch includes new features and a host of bug fixes to make your experience even more rewarding:
Features
- Schedule: Interrupt Layouts (supporting Ad Campaigns)
- Status window (triggered by XMR command)
Bug fixes
- Configuration: fonts don’t work without access to google.com
- Configuration: not responsive on portrait displays
- Layouts: incorrect aspect ratio on portrait displays
- Logging: fix console errors during display registration
- Playback: fix stuck screen when hard refreshing (CTRL+R)
- Playback: various minor rendering issues with Elements
- Playback: various stability improvements and issues
- Schedule: when removing a schedule the screen goes black
- Schedule: switching schedules keeps the old layout playing in the background
- Splash: incorrect aspect ratio on portrait displays
- White Labelling: splash screen shows the Xibo logo
- XMDS: logs are submitted too frequently
Limitations
- Playback: sound is not automatically played when using the player in a browser tab (Kiosk mode is required).
