What is required for self-hosting?

Self-hosting open-source digital signage software means deploying the platform on your own chosen infrastructure, whether that is on-premise servers or a third-party cloud provider. Your organisation assumes complete operational control and responsibility for the environment. This requires dedicated IT expertise to configure the hosting environment, manage network security, and handle all ongoing system maintenance and updates.

 

You can download the open-source Xibo CMS core and our Windows and Linux player apps directly from GitHub under the AGPLv3 licence. Whilst you get access to our core platform completely free of charge, you must provide the hosting infrastructure and technical resources to install, secure, and maintain the software yourself. Technical discussions are driven entirely through our active community forum, rather than a commercial Service Level Agreement (SLA).
