We have released the first release candidate of Xibo v4 and we would like to invite everyone to give it a try and let us know what you think! Try our release candidate here.
4.0.0-rc2 is a development preview only and should not be used in production. We recommend testing this release with a fresh installation of Xibo.
Xibo has been over a year in development and we’ve made some exciting changes in the key areas listed below now available for testing.
Did you know? Xibo v4 is available as a trial hosted in our cloud, just pick it from the list of versions during sign up.
Simple Media Scheduling
If your content is created outside of Xibo and arrives as Video/Image creatives in the right aspect ratio for your screen, then v4 simplifies your scheduling experience.
We don’t make you create a layout you don’t need. Simply upload your creative to the CMS library and schedule it with our two step process. You can even do the same with a whole playlist.
Intuitive Content Creation
Users need intuitive, simple, yet effective and comprehensive tools to build content quickly.
Make impactful and engaging content more easily than ever before in our ground-up rethink on the Xibo Layout editor. Use our “no code” elements to create dynamic widgets, or grab one of our ready made stencils to work from.
Impactful Content Synchronisation
Xibo v4 comes with content synchronisation for Android. Take two or more displays with good network connections, make a sync group, and play content synchronised across that group with our synchronised schedules.
Seamlessly switch between showing independent content, mirrored content and video wall content.
Powerful Developer Tools
We’ve taken the HTML/CSS and JS out of the editor and put it in your IDE where it belongs. Redesigned and reimagined, Xibo’s developer tools allow you complete control without added complexity.
We hope to make our developer documentation beautiful! This is a work in progress ahead of release.
