Today we’re announcing R36 of the Xibo for Android client for Xibo 1.4 and 1.6!
The client is still available on a free 14 day no obligation trial and available to purchase directly from our website. The application is also available directly from our download centre.
Instructions for upgrading from an earlier release can be found in the FAQ. It’s also well worth having a look at the Knowledge Base.
From this version onwards Android 4.0.3+ is required, Android 4.1+ is recommended.
Issues Resolved in this release:
- Fix for always updating Text, Ticker and DataSet Resources in the background instead of when they are loaded. Required 1.6.2 CMS to apply.
- Fix for web page scaling. Required 1.6.2 CMS to apply.
- Debugging option for storing HTML on Internal Storage. Fixes an issue with some devices not being able to show Text/Ticker media.
- Fix for the application not restarting on Upgrade.
- Introduced compatibility with the Xibo for Android Update Manager (to be released shortly)
Our white label customers can get updated copies of their build from the Android Builds section of the Customer Portal.
