1.7.1 Xibo for Windows Released
We would like to announce that we have released a 1.7.1 Windows Player to use with our 1.7.1 CMS release earlier this month. This new Windows Player contains several stability improvements and we recommend everyone using the 1.7.0 release to upgrade. Announcing R51 of Xibo for Android 1.7. This release works with Xibo CMS versions 1.4, 1.6 and 1.7. Features and Issues resolved in this release: * Add the option to enter the licence email address if the CMS doesn’t provide one * Expire modified layouts configuration option (requires 1.7.1 CMS) * Correctly detect when switching from a 1.6 to 1.7 CMS * Correctly adjust Collection Interval when it is adjusted in the CMS * Never blacklist files downloaded from the CMS via HTTP * Storage

This release fixes some important issues with the 1.7.0 release and we recommend everyone upgrade. This is a CMS only release and the 1.7.0 windows player should be used. We are pleased to announce that yesterday we released the 1.7.0 stable release of Xibo to the community. This release has taken us 4 months to develop, test and bring to you all and contains a whole host of new features. The Xibo Project has been hosted on Launchpad since December 2008 and we appreciate the excellent platform that has been provided free of charge over that time. Bazaar is an excellent version control system and the Bug reporting on Launchpad has been perfect for our needs up until now. Xibo for Ubuntu Alpha Discontinuation Notice
The Xibo Project has been working towards a cross platform Player for Windows and Linux for some time and had hoped that our Xibo for Ubuntu Python Client would meet our goals.
