The Linux Player automatically restarts itself / Linux Player Watchdog

From version 1.8 R4 and onwards, the Linux Player will automatically start the Player watchdog application on starting the Player. This is to ensure that if the Player crashes or stops for any reason, it will be restarted.

Simply closing the Player application will still trigger the watchdog to restart. To close the Player and prevent it from re-opening, you will need to close the watchdog application.

Closing the Watchdog Application

Click on the i key on your keyboard to open the Player Status screen.

Click on Exit and don’t restart
